Most detailing work starts with a search on a phone, usually from a driveway, usually with the car in front of the customer. The business that ranks in the map pack and answers clearly usually wins the booking.
Start with your Google Business Profile
Your profile often appears before your website does, so treat it as your real shopfront. Set the primary category to Car Detailing Service, add secondary categories such as Car Wash or Vehicle Wrapping if they apply, and list every service you offer with a starting price.
Then keep it active. Add fresh before-and-after photos monthly, post an offer or update, and answer every review within a couple of days. Activity on the profile is a signal, and it also reassures the people comparing three detailers in four minutes.
Give every service its own page
One page listing everything competes for nothing. Maintenance details, paint correction, ceramic coating and mobile detailing are four different searches with four different budgets.
Build a page per service with what's included, how long it takes, starting prices and photos of that specific work. That gives Google something specific to rank and gives the buyer a reason to stop scrolling.
Cover the areas you actually travel to
If you're mobile, you're competing in several towns, not one. Add a page per area with genuinely local detail: travel zones, typical jobs, and how pricing changes with distance.
Avoid copying the same paragraph and swapping the town name. Thin duplicate pages compete with each other and read as filler to customers.
Turn enquiries into reviews
Reviews are the strongest trust signal in local search and in AI answers. Ask after every job, at the moment the customer is happiest, with a direct link.
Automate the request so it isn't another task you forget when the next car arrives, and reply to what comes back. Two hundred reviews with replies beats two hundred without.
The short version
Local visibility is consistency, not a hack. Profile, service pages, area pages and reviews, all saying the same true thing about what you do and where.
